CONFERENCE SPEAKERS
Chad Kokenge, Partner, PricewaterhouseCoopers' National Office, is a former Professional Accounting Fellow in the SEC's Office of the Chief Accountant. He was a co-author of Staff Accounting Bulletins 107 (equity-based compensation) and 104 (revenue recognition). He was also the SEC staff observer to the AICPA's task force on valuation of private equity securities and the FASB's options valuation group.
Shan Nemeth, Partner, Deloitte & Touche LLP, formerly of the SEC Office of the Chief Accountant, Professional Accounting Fellow, was a co-author of Staff Accounting Bulletin 107 and consulted with registrants on a variety of accounting matters, including those related to equity-based compensation. Alison Spivey, Partner, Ernst & Young LLP, former Associate Chief Accountant in the SEC's Office of the Chief Accountant, consults with engagement teams on technical accounting and reporting matters and leads professional education courses, primarily in the subject areas of share-based payments and pension and postretirement benefits. As Associate Chief Accountant, she co-authored Staff Accounting Bulletin 107. Terry Adamson, Vice President, Aon Consulting, has over 12 years of benefit and compensation consulting experience. As operations director for Aon's national employee stock option valuation practice and the lead project manager, he manages a team of valuation experts. Mr. Adamson is responsible for the completion of quarterly FAS 123R accounting valuations in addition to being the primary client contact. Elizabeth E. Drigotas, Principal, Deloitte Tax LLP, focuses on employee benefits and executive compensation. Previously, she worked as an Attorney Advisor in the Office of the Benefits Tax Counsel for the U.S. Treasury Department. She participated in a number of regulatory projects including golden parachute regulations, incentive stock option regulations, section 401(k) and (m) regulations, regulations permitting individuals over age 50 to make additional contributions, as well as regulations applicable to ESOPs (Employee Stock Ownership Plans). J. Scott Hodgkins, Partner, Latham & Watkins LLP, is in the corporate department where he serves as local chair of the company representation practice group and focuses on corporate governance and corporate finance matters. He has substantial experience representing companies and underwriters in the public and private issuance of debt and equity securities. He also has experience in the private placement of debt and equity securities. He represents public companies in connection with SEC reporting obligations and other ongoing corporate and securities matters. Mark Rosen, Partner, Pearl Meyer & Partners, has consulted on executive and Board compensation issues for nearly 20 years for a broad range of public companies, as well as tax-exempt organizations and academic institutions. He has extensive experience with benchmarking, retirement plan design, governance issues, as well as tax and accounting considerations. Joseph Ucuzoglu, Partner, Deloitte & Touche LLP, is currently in the National Office, Accounting Consultation Group. Previously, he was the Senior Advisor to the Chief Accountant of the SEC. His responsibilities included advising the chief accountant on complex accounting and auditing matters and assisting in the development of strategic objectives to be pursued as part of the Office of the Chief Accountant's agenda. He also served as a Professional Accounting Fellow in the Office of the Chief Accountant. Larry Westall, Partner, PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP, consults regularly on accounting and reporting matters related to stock-based compensation, employee benefits and revenue recognition. Prior to his tour in the National Office, he served clients in Houston, Dallas and Austin, Texas. He has extensive experience in SEC reporting issues and public offerings. Mr. Westall develops course materials and teaches for clients, his firm and outside groups. He is a graduate of Baylor University in Texas with a BBA in Accounting. |
